Japan's Eathquake & Tsumani

EARTHQUAKE, TSUNAMI AND NUCLEAR CRISIS
On 3.11.11 an earthquake attacked the coast of Japan that swept cities & farmland in northern part of the country. It was the most powerful earthquake that ever hit the country. While struggling with a rescue effort they had to face the wort nuclear emeregy. Japanese officials turned to increasingly desperate measures as tracings  were found in Tokyo's water & in water pouring from the reactors into the ocean. A month after the earthquake nuclear officials put the crisis in the same severity as the Chernobyl disaster.

The disaster's massive impact was only beginning to be revealed.
A 30-foot wall of water swept across rice fields. It engulfed all of the towns, dragged houses onto highways, and tossed cars and boats like toys. Some waves reached six miles (10 kilometers) island in Miyagi Prefecture on Japan's east coast.

Japan earthquake: How Tokyo got an 80-second head start
The earthquake began at 5:46 GMT. It took 10 seconds for sensors to detect enough signals to conclude that the earthquake was serious & issue the alerts. Since the more damaging secondary waves traveled at 4 kilometers per second, it took 90 seconds to travel the 373 kilometers to Tokyo, Rondenay says. Many homes and buildings had been destroyed.

    Very nice job, Now as far as Japan goes, Have they been recovering or are they still a wreck?

    kenny: thank you...yes they have slowly been recovering but it will take a while before they are fully recoved.

    Sam: thanks. the united states has sent a team of Nuclear Regulatory Commision to help out in Japan and Americans are donating money to the Red Cross and other agencies to help those in need

    Well, that's really good. So there is hope that they will become fully recovered. Until then is the area going to be inaccessible for the average person?

    VEry nice job seen some spelling errors but every colorful!1 so the water has radation right? so is their a way to purify it so its a resource again?

    Brandi: nuclear promblem is affecting people majorly because of the radiation causing bad health problems depending on how bad it is

    Kenny: yes it will be inaccessible for the average person

    Shawnee: yes it does..they have found a way to purfy the water.

    yes seimic waves were detected by seimic plates.

    I dont think there is anyway this coulve been prevented they had secs notice before the earthquake took place.

    There was more than 6400 people that died.
